Review: Jabra HALO2

Jabra HALO2 is a Bluetooth stereo headset which is the ultimate smart phone or Mp3 player companion, making calls and music sound even better. The HALO2 is equipped with a detachable cord for users who prefer a direct connection to their music player and is also capable of connecting wirelessly to take calls on multiple smartphones or Bluetooth-enabled devices.

Building off the success of the popular Jabra HALO, the HALO2 boasts advanced Multipoint technology, allowing for simple pairing of up to two Bluetooth-enabled devices at a time. The headset includes new features like Virtual Surround Sound and Power Bass, providing an enhanced listening experience – music and calls never sounded so good! The Jabra HALO2 allows users to make and answer phone calls wirelessly when paired to a mobile device, further combining music and communication which have becoming increasingly linked by smart phones with music-playing abilities.

The Jabra HALO2 has a touch sensor on the side of the headset that lets users adjust volume with the swipe of a finger. They can also skip tracks and play and pause songs without ever having to touch the phone or Mp3 player. Virtual Surround Sound produces a listening experience that mimics multiple-speaker-sound that seems to come from various directions and Power Bass adds enhanced audio.

The ear pieces of the new headset are cushioned with velvet to provide maximum comfort while wearing the HALO2 and a new metallic colour-style makes the product an attractive headset to wear on-the-go. Additionally, users will be able to upgrade the stereo headset with updates from Jabra as they become available via the USB plug.

From our test over the last few weeks (We had the Apple-certified version), i have to say that this is a great bluetooth stereo headset, with crystal clear sound and a good base on it (which is not over powering) so it give a good all around sound.
You get everything you need and its easy to setup and to get going.

I was disapioted in the power/charging lead as the cable length was not long enough and also found that the sound was not loud enough on full if you wanted to listen to some loud music, but not everyone listens to loud music all the time and TBH the volume was at a right level just for all day listening.

Over all thought this is a good around headset and one i would recommend to anyone looking for a good bluetooth headset.

The Jabra HALO2 Bluetooth stereo headset is available from £99.99 from Amazon and Carphone Warehouse.
Jabra HALO2 is also available in an Apple-certified version (As reviewed).
